UNIZIK FM 94.1 campus community radio owned by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka but housed in the Department of Mass Communication with the workforce drawn from all sectors of the University Community. The station licensed by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on the 8th February, 2007, started test transmission on 27th April, 2008.
The Professor Festus Aghagbo Nwako Library is a hybrid library. It is one of the largest academic libraries in Africa. The Library is named after the first Vice- Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Engineering researchers at UNIZIK has developed a proximity warning system capable of reducing accidents on the manufacturing shop floor, by notifying employers of any possible danger within the workplace. The system is an intelligent system that can detect and alert workers when they approach a danger zone.
